From Mishap to Miracle - The Sachin story

                  Sachin's miraculous recovery after a bike accident

Sachin, a bright and promising young man and an ambitious medical student at PSG College in Coimbatore, India, had his life turned upside down on a seemingly ordinary night at 2am September 30th, 2022. Returning home from a vibrant college cultural event late at night, he met with a devastating accident. The impact was severe, leaving him unconscious with a brutal blow to his face and with other critical injuries facing a long and uncertain recovery.

Kind strangers rushed Sachin to the nearest hospital for first aid and then had him shifted to his own studying college for further treatment. He had sustained a serious front eye skull fracture and required emergency surgery. The hours that followed were agonizing for his family and friends, who prayed for a miracle.

The surgery was a success, but the doctors warned of potential long-term consequences. Sachin might face anger issues, vision problems, or even a loss of taste. The news was devastating, concerning his promising future as a doctor.

However, Sachin, a young man of incredible faith, refused to give up. He clung to his belief in God though the accident tormented him, drawing strength from his family's amazing support and his own fighting spirit. He underwent a tough 10-day recovery process, battling pain and uncertainty.

For weeks, Sachin's family and friends held onto hope and faith as he battled for his recovery in the hospital. The road to recovery was filled with pain, setbacks, and the constant fear of the unknown.

But through it all, Sachin and his family clung to their faith in God. They found hope in prayer, drawing strength and comfort from their unwavering belief in God. Coimbatore, Chennai and all the church disciples became a source of unconditional support, showering them with love, prayers, and hope.

And then, the miracle happened. Sachin began to heal, not just physically but also emotionally and spiritually. The anger the doctors had predicted never came upon. His vision remained sharp, and his taste buds were fine with the familiar flavors. He had cheated death, emerging from the darkness with a renewed sense of purpose and an even deeper faith in God.

Finally, after months of struggle, Slowly but surely, he regained his strength, his spirit, and his face back. It was a long and painful journey, but with each passing day, his faith grew stronger, his gratitude deepened, and his love for his family and God intensified.

Exactly a year later ,on September 30th, 2023, along with his parents Solomon & Rajam, with his brother Sarosh on his side, Sachin after full recovery was moved in his heart to show his gratitude to Coimbatore church, came to church service not as a patient seeking healing, but as a living testament to the power of faith and resilience. He stood before his church, his voice thick with emotion, and shared his story. It was a raw and powerful account of his painful night, his unwavering faith, and the overwhelming gratitude he felt for the miracle of his recovery.

As Sachin spoke, the church fell silent, tears streaming down many faces. His parents too gave a grateful note to the church. His story was a powerful reminder of the strength of the human spirit, and the unwavering love of God. It was a testament to the power of faith in the face of difficulty, and a hope for anyone facing their own challenges.
